Meet the teachers....

Kevin St. Laurent (USA) is internationally recognized for his energy and innovation as a Lindy Hop dancer, instructor, performer and choreographer. His creativity on the dance floor stems from a command of musicality and partner connection, features of his dance that make him such an engaging performer, and his priorities in both improvisation and choreography.  As an instructor, he concentrates on the technique of these elements at all levels, teaching his students the ability to adapt the style of their dance to that of the music and to create a dynamic dance with their partner. Kevin's energy and focus on fun are a constant backdrop to all of his work.

Jo Hoffberg (USA) is a veteran of the social and competitive Lindy Hop scene around the world. A well-known dancer and instructor from the L.A. area, she has taught internationally and has a number of top competition credits to her name. Emily has been dancing lindy hop since 2000. Emily’s distinct and unique style sets her apart from other female dancers. Her fancy footwork, slides and musicality are surpassed only by her inventiveness of signature moves. She currently teaches regular classes in Pittsburgh.

Juan Villafane (ARGENTINA) has been a leading proponent in the revival of vintage jazz dances in South America. His background in gymnastics, acrobatics and martial arts, as well as his degree in Physical Education strongly influence his dancing and teaching, giving him a unique perspective on body movement and awareness, and a distinct - and often spectacular - personal style. Known for his high-flying acrobatics and eye-catching slides, Juan is a consummate performer, a creative dancer and an insightful teacher.

Sharon Davis (AUSTRALIA) has been performing, teaching and competing in vintage jazz dances since 2001. In Lindy Hop, Blues and Charleston, Sharon is admired for her unique and feminine style, musicality and energy. Sharon has also built an international reputation in solo jazz dances, including 1920s Charleston, authentic jazz, solo blues and burlesque. Sharon has a background in theatre, and is co-founder of Australian burlesque troupe Sugar Blue Burlesque, with which she has delighted audiences with her graceful feather fan dances and sassy showgirl antics. With her bright and bubbly personality, Sharon's teaching style is energetic, creative and fun.
