Drogheda Classes

A new series of Swing dance classes will be starting in Drogheda on Monday 21st April.

The beginners course will introduce you to the basics of Swing dancing. You’ll learn some of the key moves and how to put them together in sequence so that you have the confidence to take to the floor. The classes are relaxed and informal. You don't need to have any dance experience, and you don't need to come with a partner. It's best to wear loose clothing and flat shoes or runners.

The solo swing / jazz course will take you on a journey of discovery, looking at the jazz steps that were danced back in the 1920's, 30's and 40's. Dancing on your own, you'll discover moves such as the Susie Q and the Applejack and learn some classic routines - including the Shim Sham and the Jitterbug Stroll. You'll also learn how to dance the Charleston! A great areobic workout, and great fun. You don't need any experience for this class.

The six week courses start on Monday 21st April in Old Abbey Dance Studios, Old Abbey Lane, Drogheda. The Beginners classes are from 8.15pm to 9.15pm. The solo swing / jazz class is from 7.15pm to 8.15pm. To book places phone Tracey Murtagh on 087 6894860 or email Tracey@kidkast.ie

Spaces on the course are pretty limited, so do sign up in advance to avoid disappointment.
